TRIAL CHANGES TO THE ADMIN. CAR PARK
As you may have seen, we are trialling some new exits to help ease the congestion in the main School car park, which serves Senior and Prep families. We have also placed some temporary signs and barriers to help guide vehicles, noting that permanent changes will be made once we establish what works best.
It is important to be respectful of all who are working hard to keep our School zones safe. Waiting in restricted areas will only make things worse, so please be considerate to others and follow the instructions of our traffic controllers.
We appreciate your cooperation as we test out these new procedures.
CHARITY GOLF DAY
We are thrilled to share that we raised an incredible 147,968.23 THB from our recent Charity Golf Day. This entire amount will be donated to the Thai Red Cross in support of those affected by the recent floodings in Northern Thailand. We could not have done this without your continuous support and generosity.
CHARITY DONATIONS
The collection date for donations has now been extended to Thursday, 17th October. We are still collecting the following items:
Clothes (Clean, and grouped by size and gender)
Blankets
Tinned/dry food
Toiletries
Donation drop-off points are located at the Pre-Prep entrance, Prep entrance and the Senior atrium.

Highlight of the Week
RSTPA COOKING CLASS
Our RSTPA Cooking Class went on a culinary journey to England this week. Under the expert guidance of John, who also shared an insight into his (haunted) family home, our parents transformed simple ingredients into a delightful feast that celebrated the rich flavours of British cuisine. The menu featured staple dishes such as chicken liver pâté, chicken leek and vegetable pie, and bread and butter pudding - it was a fantastic day for all.
The next session will take place on Monday, 4th November, where we will explore the best of Indonesia. If you would like to attend, please reserve your place by scanning the QR or contact: irbis2002@bk.ru / Line: Helen Cool / 0907694661.

DJ ACTIVITY
Our budding DJs have been busy learning the basics of mixing, experimenting with different genres and finding their own sound. They've mastered beatmatching, explored music theory and even started creating their own mixes. We're incredibly impressed with their talent and can't wait to see them showcase their skills at upcoming School events.
YEAR 8 FIELD TRIP
Year 8 ventured to Sattahip for the Geography and Science field trip, which provided an amazing opportunity for them to learn some first-hand fieldwork skills and explore the beautiful locations that are so close by. To support their coastal studies in Geography, the students worked together to measure longshore drift on the beach and to reflect on the incredible land formations that have occurred as a result of erosion. Of course, it wouldn't be a trip to the coast without enjoying lunch by the ocean before heading to the Sea Turtle Conservation Centre. The visit saw our students being given the wonderful chance to release a baby turtle back into the ocean - something that will be remembered by all.

On Friday, 18th October, we will be celebrating our annual International Day. Children can come to School wearing either a traditional costume of their home country or in clothes that are the same colours as their national flag. BIG SPLASHES FROM OUR LITTLE LEARNERS
Our Pre-Nursery children were thrilled to begin their swimming sessions this year. Starting as early as week three, they've been diving headfirst into the fun and learning of the splash pool. Everyone is making the most of their weekly swim time, soaking up the joy while mastering essential water safety skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
SPANISH FUN
Our young learners have been thriving in their Spanish lessons so far this term. Reception have been learning new routines, greetings and even classic childhood songs like 'Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes', while Year One have been immersing themselves in Spanish stories and songs as well as reviewing their numbers and colours. Singing is definitely a great learning tool in Spanish and one that our children are very happy to engage in. Year Two have also been busy working on their speaking and listening skills, reading and independent writing of Spanish words. Keep up the fantastic work.

SWIMMING
Last Saturday, our swimmers showcased their talents across two different competitions. 37 of our young swimmers, aged 11 and under, participated in the Puppy Cup 2024, while six of our top middle and long-distance swimmers competed in the BPS Distance Challenge 2024, a TSA Qualifier Meet. Both events provided opportunities for our swimmers to demonstrate their skills, dedication and perseverance.
In the Puppy Cup, many of our young swimmers achieved new personal bests, with several experiencing their first-ever swim meet. The event was a memorable experience for all participants, particularly those coming from the BISA Championships which took place the previous weekend. In the BPS Distance Challenge, our swimmers exceeded expectations by smashing their previous records and achieving multiple personal bests. The outstanding performances of Paul, Kin, Namtan, Pat, Vincent and Rebecca highlight the promising future of our swim team in middle and long-distance events.
We are very proud of the teams' performances across both events.
INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS' GOLF TOUR
The second event of the International Schools' Golf Tour (ISGT) was held at Chee Chan Golf Resort, an 18-hole championship course, located next to the famed Chee Chan Mountain. It was a tough day for many with the thunder and lightning causing havoc, however our team battled on to finish in mid-table.
