DUKE OF EDINBURGH
Our Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) participants recently completed their practice journeys. Our Silver DoE participants hiked through the challenging terrain of Khao Mai Kaeo where they improved on their map-reading skills, navigating through dense forests and uneven trails. This experience also provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen their teamwork as they supported each other to overcome obstacles along the route. Having completed this practice journey, the group now feels more prepared and motivated for their upcoming qualifying expedition.
Our Gold DoE participants ventured to Kanchanaburi, where they had the unique opportunity to develop their Stand-Up Paddle Boarding skills. Over the course of the journey, students learned vital techniques, including paddle strokes, river safety protocols and rescue methods, ensuring they were well-prepared for the challenges of river navigation. The calm waters of Kanchanaburi provided a beautiful yet demanding environment that allowed students to bond as a group and push themselves physically and mentally. This successful practice journey not only marks a key milestone in their DoE Gold Award journey but also highlights the dedication and determination of the participants.
We are proud of both groups and the progress they made, and look forward to seeing their continued success as they complete their awards.

Students were keen to show off their work and parents were really happy to get involved with the learning and even helped to mark some of the classwork.

A huge thank you to Ms Syner, our Head of Art as well as Ms Barnes and Khun Mai for all their hard work and inspiration.
HOUSE CAPTAIN CORNER
This has been a very busy term for our students and especially our House Captains. Here is a roundup of the various activities that they have been involved in this term.
Our House Captains focused on planning and running assemblies, promoting the House system and supporting other leadership roles. They have also been meeting regularly with the Heads of House to discuss matters and plan upcoming events.
Sports Captains have been instrumental in supporting House sports tournaments and matches, working closely with the sports department to promote participation and sportsmanship. They have also been busy supporting Sports Day and Cross Country events.
The Music Captains coordinated music events, ensuring students were in the right place at the right time for rehearsals and performances. Their involvement in supporting and coordinating Recitals was also incredibly important.
Community Captains were actively involved in community service initiatives and keeping House members informed of competitions and Community Roles. They also had the responsibility of coordinating the House display boards.
Lastly, our Eco Captains have been helping the Eco room, overseeing recycling initiatives and promoting eco-friendly activities throughout the School.

RECEPTION ECO-GARDEN TRIP
Last week, we enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Eco Garden as part of our topic, "Where Does It Come From?". The children were fascinated by the chickens and enjoyed learning about their life cycle. We also explored the garden to discover a variety of fruits and vegetables growing, sparking curiosity about how our food is grown. A real highlight of the visit was meeting and feeding Ruby, the friendly tortoise, which brought lots of smiles and excitement. It was a hands-on experience that truly brought our learning to life.
NATIVE READING SESSION
A huge thank you to all of our wonderful parents who gave up their time to come and read stories in their native languages last week. Native-reading story time has become a firm favourite for the children, so your support was greatly appreciated. The Pre-Prep children were so excited to hear their own languages and loved sharing what the stories were about with their teachers. We look forward to seeing you all again next term.
Boarding Life
Boarding
The Marshall House boarders will be hosting their annual charity Christmas Bake Sale on Tuesday, 10th December at 5.30pm. Come and buy their homemade festive treats and enjoy them knowing that all the money will go to Take Care Kids. A big thank you to Mrs Pool and Mr Van for leading on Marshall's charity bake sale initiative this year - and also to all of our Prep boarders for getting stuck into this project, which has involved the rather enjoyable job of trialing and tasting recipes in evening activity times.

RST CHRONICLE
Welcome to the 8th edition of the RST Chronicle - our new improved paper is full of interesting articles this week, from house ties to sport to politics. Don't forget to check out the double comic helping which we have served up this week. Thanks to Shivaans, Kati, Paul, Siku, Skyler, Daniel, Alex, Alie and Eita for putting this edition together.
Sport
SPORTS RECAP
Last month was a particularly busy month in the sporting calendar and we now welcome in December which has kicked-off to a great start.
Huge congratulations goes to our U15 Softball team who took part in the first ever fixture for our School. This sport in Asia is a key striking and fielding sport which brings together a broad range of skill sets. Stay tuned for more on this.
Across the field, the Senior boys were in action too with a wonderful showcase of 10s Rugby. The boys, led ably by Mr Ray as referee on the day, played a superb game and showed massive development across the morning. We look forward to seeing them back on the field in January, when we have more games booked in.
There was also our U18 Basketball tournament which took place in the WEC, with 16 teams in action. Both Varsity and JV teams got three good fixtures under their belt and it was great to also see our Varsity boys and girls going undefeated on the day. Congratulations also go to the four students selected for the ESAC All Star Team - Phoenix, Victoria, Kenneth and Mateo, who travelled to Regents Pattaya for the games and enjoyed being a part of this event.
Well done also to the U11 Girls who travelled to Bangkok to play their Siam Soccer League final. The girls continued to show that they are a group to be reckoned with as they came away 5:1 winners.
