RST PARENT SURVEY
Now that we have Term 2 up and running, I would like to survey all parents as to how they feel about the School and what, educationally, we can do to improve. I am very grateful to you for the number of surveys and Google Forms you fill out for us, but it is important to know your thoughts, and we really do value your feedback. It is only by learning and listening that we can improve and make RST as good as it can be.
This is a very short form, but please do complete it by clicking "HERE" and the deadline for submission is Friday, 16th February at the start of the half-term break.
The Teepsuwans and I will then make a time to give feedback to you from this survey and to answer questions and concerns from any of you wishing to attend.

CHARITY ACCOUNT by Siku (Y7)
"Over the weekends, my family and my friends’ family and I went to Doi Thao at Chiangmai to visit the locals there. They lived there with no electricity and basic utilities and the children there can’t go to school so we went there to visit them. My friends and I taught the children there about acids and fun stuff like how to make paper airplanes (which they really liked) and cooked yummy foods for them like pancakes and s’mores and ham and cheese sandwiches.
We also set up a medical check-up for the people there. The adults did blood tests and feedback and my friends and I helped with weight, blood pressure and running the refreshments stall (which I really like doing).
We all had a lot of fun there and I feel really happy about helping them".
YEAR 3
Year 3 have launched their new unit of study ‘What Was The Ancient World Like?’ By understanding why asking questions is a key skill for a historian. The students looked at a range of real artefacts, kindly supplied by Mr Maurice, and asked questions that they felt were important in finding out more about the objects they had been presented with.

MAD JUNIORS
Last Friday, we celebrated Children's Day in Pre-Prep. We welcomed children from the Hand 2 Hand Foundation to join us at School for the day. We had a wonderful time, and the children joined in our lessons, from Thai to music. They played with our children and had an incredible time on the playground!
They also joined our PE lessons; Mr Dehann led children in sport activities, while Mr Roel taught them to swim. It was a day of fun and happiness. During our assembly, Pre-Prep children also learnt about the value of children's rights and equality, regardless of their background.
Our appeal for Children’s Day was to collect pampers for children and adults. Thank you to everyone who donated to the good cause, it is much appreciated!
MUSIC
Exciting news for our Year 2 students. This term, a musical symphony is unfolding as some of our budding talents embark on violin and piano lessons with our visiting music teachers. Kru Mac, our dedicated violin instructor, and Kru Q, our piano maestro, are bringing their expertise to our Y2 students, igniting a passion for classical instruments.
These personalised lessons provide a unique opportunity for our young musicians to explore the enchanting world of violin and piano, fostering not only musical skills but also discipline and dedication. We can't wait to witness the musical prowess that will undoubtedly blossom under the guidance of Kru Mac and Kru Q.

Boarding News
Some of our Marshall House weekly boarders made the most of the option to stay on Friday night last week, so they could be up early for fixtures or join Saturday Enrichment. They had a lovely sunset stroll up to Wisdom Valley for pizza, then played games back in the house.
If your child's a weekly boarder and you'd like to book them in to stay on a Friday night, just email the Houseparent to arrange it!
Some of our full boarders had an amazing time horse riding at Horseshoe Point last Sunday. From seasoned riders to first timers, everyone embraced the experience with enthusiasm. Lessons, grooming, and feeding their ponies made for a fantastic day out.

BRONZE DUKE OF EDINBURGH EXPEDITION
Students have spent time this week planning their meals, getting their maps ready and setting up tents, in preparation for the Bronze DOE qualifying journey this weekend. We wish them best of luck!
RST ECO GARDEN AND ZERO WASTE ACTIVITY
We are excited about the plan to extend the RST Eco Garden. The students have been working hard designing zones that will include a new compost area, mushroom house, butterfly garden and hut. This week, we planted kale and harvested tomato, lettuce, chili peppers, basil, and okra. Please stop by Scrummy Cafe to purchase organic vegetables located in the Eco Garden corner on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Next Wednesday feel free to stop by the Eco Garden around 4-5 pm to taste our weekly recipe.
