Highlights of the Week
A MEMORABLE MILESTONE FOR XX STUDENTS
Last week, XX students took a significant step towards their transition to global universities as they celebrated their final "official" day of School before embarking on their Study Leave. The day was filled with high spirits and nostalgia as Ms Pearce, Head of XX, presented a heart-warming photo gallery of the year group throughout their time in Senior School, many of whom Ms Pearce has taught since F Block.
The day was a blend of laughter and cherished memories. Students signed each other's shirts, creating personalised keepsakes of their time at RST. Although this marks the end of formal school for the XX, it is not a final farewell. Students will return for their examinations, Speech Day on 15th June, Graduation on 21st June, and the Rugby Ball on 27th June.
Good luck to all our students as they continue their external examinations. We are excited to follow your journeys as RST alumni and Old Rugbeians.

FOOTBALL
Last weekend, 32 Year 3 and 4 boys and girls went to Garden International School Rayong to compete in a football tournament against some of the local international schools.
Everyone had a great time with lots of impressive teamwork and sportsmanship on show. All 5 teams that RST entered played extremely well, scoring lots of goals!
Girls A, Girls B and Boys B all won their tournaments; well done to them!
Thank you to the hosts for putting on such a fun tournament too.
Both our U11 boys' and girls' football teams travelled to Bangkok Prep to compete against nine other teams in the Bulldog Cup.
The morning session featured the girls' matches. RST secured a win, a draw, and a loss in their group games. In the knockout stages, they won one game and lost another, finishing the tournament in 7th place.
The boys competed in the afternoon session. RST performed exceptionally well in the group stages, winning all four of their games and securing a place in the final against the hosts.
The final didn't start as RST would have liked, as they found themselves 2-0 down early on. However, the boys remained resilient, determined, and skilful, continuing to play excellent football as they had throughout the tournament. They battled back impressively to win the game 4-2 and were crowned Bulldog Champions!
Well done, boys! A well-deserved victory.
BADMINTON
Our u13 & U15 Badminton teams travelled to Bangkok last weekend to participate in the BISA Badminton tournaments at Kings College and Shrewsbury Riverside, respectively.
The competition was very strong, but despite that, we had some very good individual performances from both the boys and girls in both age groups.
Everyone involved had a great time, and we look forward to entering more badminton tournaments in the future!

The meet was marked by a high number of personal best times and an impressive haul of medals for the team.
A special highlight was Lilly's outstanding performance, securing 3rd place overall in her category. The event underscored the team's hard work and determination, making it a memorable and successful competition for the RST Swim Team.
Congratulation to all swimmers: Palmy Y3; Fred, Amy, O'Neill, and Natsuki Y4; Venice Y5, Paul Y6; Mangkorn, Lilly, and Kin Y7, Pat, and Namtan Y9; Rebecca Y12.
Summer Sizzler Swim Meet 2024
Last weekend, the RST Swim Team set a new participation record with nearly 50 swimmers registered to attend the Summer Sizzler Swim Meet 2024. The primary goal was to bring together the largest possible team to share this fantastic experience. It was heartening to see all team members supporting each other and achieving success together. Competitively, our swimmers secured an outstanding number of medals, demonstrating the effectiveness of their training over the years. Well done to all swimmers who participated and contributed to this remarkable achievement
